Amazon Shutterbug, which was launched on May 9th, 2018, is a destination for all that photography enthusiasts need. This photography club was launched to help budding photographers in their upskilling journey, and is the first such initiative across Amazon geographies. This club offers easy tips & tutorials for enthusiasts to learn about the art & science of photography, events and workshops to learn from Expert Photo Mentors, and contests for photographers to showcase their work and be recognized by peers.
I am delighted at the initial response the program has received. This reconfirms our belief in the program
While its early days for the program, the initial response has been very encouraging, with over 50,000 enthusiasts subscribing to the Club in the first 3 days of launch. Despite no gratification being offered, photographers also started using #AmazonShutterbug and asking for feedback on their pictures.
The program seems to have enthused both amateurs and pros, as the program has seen both variety contact the administrators to participate in their capacities, and be a part of this exciting community.
Speaking about the response to the program, Jonathan Burks, Category Leader, Amazon said, “I am delighted at the initial response the program has received. This reconfirms our belief in the program, and allows us to double down our efforts to provide more opportunities for both content led and practical learning through offline workshops, online hangouts and a host of other possible solutions. We would be announcing the first of these workshops shortly, and encourage all photo enthusiasts to join the community and be a part of such interactions.” commented Jonathan Burks, Category Leader, Amazon.
