2024 is starting off with a great piece of news for Gutar Gu fans: the wait for season 2 is almost over. The filming of the second season has begun and is slated for a 2024 release, exclusively on Amazon miniTV, Amazon’s free video streaming service.
The first season of Gutar Gu was a coming-of-age story featuring teens Ritu and Anuj, portrayed by actors Vishesh Bansal and Ashlesha Thakur. Known for its relatable narrative, it had become one of the most viewed series on Amazon miniTV last year.
The second season of the show is being brought back by Guneet Monga Kapoor's Oscar-winning production house, Sikhya Entertainment and it is being directed by Saqib Pandor. The six new episodes will explore the rekindled magic between Anuj and Ritu, the central characters.

Looking back at season 1
In the first season, Ritu and Anuj tactfully navigated the emotional rollercoaster of friendship and teenage romance , diving into the diverse shades of love. The upcoming season follows their continuing journeys, as they tackle new challenges, and navigating the complexities of life, careers, and the evolving expectations they have for each other.
The story of Gutar Gu, is very close to our hearts at Sikhya. After an outpour of love for Ritu and Anuj’s short story in Gupt Gyaan, to come back together with phenomenal Director Saqib Pandor and explore the story in a series format was truly an exciting opportunity.
