Sankalp Trailer
Inspired by the ancient Chanakya–Chandragupta chronicles, the series reimagines political strategy for modern India. The trailer offers a striking entry into a world shaped by three forces: Sanskaar, Satta, and Samarpan. Anchored by Nana Patekar, the series also features Sanjay Kapoor, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Neeraj Kabi, Kubrra Sait, Kranti Prakash Jha in pivotal roles.
The series is produced by Jyoti Deshpande for Jio Studios and Dishaa Jhaa under banner of PJP films Productions.
“I have always believed that storytelling carries responsibility. Sankalp is built on that belief, examining power, intent, and consequence in a way that stays with the audience. Collaborating with Amazon MX Player and Jio Studios has allowed this vision to reach audiences far and wide, amplifying the impact of a story that matters. A story truly succeeds when it leaves behind questions that challenge our understanding of the world,” says Director and Producer Prakash Jha.
What to expect from Sankalp
Set between political nerve centres, the story introduces Ma’at Saab, an influential educator whose authority rests on values, loyalty, and unwavering devotion. The trailer builds steadily with a charged confrontation between the mentor and mentee, exposing the moral price of ambition and the thin line between guidance and establishing dominance. The tussle that ensues is what keeps everyone hooked to see if the student gets to rise against the master.
“Sankalp is a sharp, contemporary socio-political thriller with larger-than-life characters that explores power, belief, and motivations. The series reflects our focus on culturally rooted stories that spark meaningful conversations. It also continues our long-standing creative collaboration with Prakash Jha, whose distinctive voice has delivered many impactful narratives. We are also delighted to collaborate with Nana Patekar as he makes his streaming debut with Amazon MX Player.,” says Amogh Dusad, Director and Head of Content, Amazon MX Player.
Spokesperson, PJP Films Productions says, “With Sankalp, the endeavour was to create a story rooted in the complexity of human relationships, where mentorship becomes influence and conviction becomes authority. Every creative choice was driven by the intent to build a world that feels immersive, layered, and emotionally resonant, delivering a narrative that stays with audiences long after the story unfolds.”
Sankalp will stream for free from March 11, exclusively on Amazon MX Player, available through its apps on mobile, Amazon’s shopping app, Prime Video, Fire TV, and Connected TVs.
