Axis Bank powers its digital banking transformation with AWS
Today, Amazon Web Services, (AWS), an Amazon.com company, announced that Axis Bank, India’s third largest private sector bank, has selected AWS to accelerate its digital transformation program and meet the growing demand for its digital banking services. As part of a multi-year agreement, Axis Bank will draw on the breadth and depth of AWS services, including containers, database, and compute, to build a portfolio of new digital financial services to bring advanced banking experiences to customers, including online accounts that can be opened in under six minutes and instant digital payments, helping the bank increase customer satisfaction by 35% and lower costs by 24%.

AWS Summit Online India is a 2-day online conference, which will be held on June 29-30, 2021. While the first day is targeted at providing business or IT decision-makers an opportunity to learn from AWS experts and gain insights from customer stories and use cases; Day 2 is geared towards technical leaders, data scientists, developers, system administrators, solution architects, engineers etc. and will cover deep tech content and step-by-step technical demos.
The impressive line-up of speakers includes Peter DeSantis, Senior Vice President, AWS Global Infrastructure and Customer Support, Dorothy Li, Vice President, AWS BI and Analytics, Puneet Chandok, President, Commercial Business – AWS India & South Asia, AISPL, Anupam Mishra, Head of Technology, AISPL India, and James Gosling, distinguished engineer, AWS, who’s often referred to as the Father of Java. There will also be customer Keynote sessions delivered by technology leaders from Axis Bank, Paytm, Swiggy, CleverTap, Titan, and Mahindra and Mahindra.
In addition, the event will feature 90+ educational sessions, Ask the Experts Live Q&A sessions, and an experiential area with segments titled ‘Public Sector for Innovation’, ‘Startup Central’, ‘Builder’s Zone’, and AWS DeepRacer Workshops. The AWS DeepRacer League is the world's first global autonomous racing league, driven by reinforcement learning.
Interested participants need to select their interest for AWS DeepRacer League while registering registration for the AWS Summit Online India 2021. Once registered, they can login in to the console to start training their model and attend the AWS DeepRacer workshops during the course of the AWS Summit. They can also enter the AWS DeepRacer League for a chance to compete in the AWS DeepRacer League championships.
