Andy Jassy visited an Amazon Now micro-fulfilment centre that powers the company’s ultra-fast delivery promise, with plans afoot to extend the service to more than 300 Indian cities. Amazon is on-track to build India’s largest ‘delivery in minutes’ network, which has seen orders double every quarter since launch. This makes Now the fastest-growing ecommerce business unit in Amazon India’s history. What started as an experiment in India is now being expanded to several countries across the globe.

Jassy spent time at the micro-fulfilment centre meeting with delivery associates and partners who serve hundreds of thousands of customers each day. Amazon also introduced ‘Sammaan’ — a program designed to support delivery associates through upgraded health and life insurance, education scholarships for their children, and more.
