On February 23, 2026, Amazon’s second-largest office in Asia has been officially inaugurated in a ceremony that underscored Amazon's long-term commitment to Karnataka and India. Dr. M.B. Patil, Minister for Large & Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development, Government of Karnataka, graced the occasion as the chief guest, marking this milestone alongside Amazon leadership. The event featured a curated campus walkthrough for dignitaries and media, celebrating Amazon's investment in Bengaluru's talent ecosystem and the city's role as a global innovation hub.

Speaking at the inauguration, Dr. M.B. Patil, says, “Amazon’s continued investment in Bengaluru reflects India's growing role as a global technology and innovation hub. Large-scale campuses like Amazon’s new campus create high-quality jobs, strengthen local ecosystem, and support India's digital economy. We welcome investments that build long-term capability and create opportunity for our workforce.”

Work floors are arranged to create self-sustaining neighbourhoods, each with their own spaces. Paths cut across for effortless movement within the office and easy access to amenities. Each neighbourhood has meeting rooms of various capacities, huddle spaces, focus booths and breakout areas for quick catch-ups and to support a culture of collaboration. Modern event spaces can accommodate over 200 people.

The campus features extensive outdoor amenities including amphitheater, basketball and pickleball courts. Indoor facilities include a games room, wellness room, medical center with nursing staff, and an interfaith prayer room. Amazon’s new campus represents progress in our effort to reduce carbon across our corporate office portfolio, aligned with Amazon’s goal of reaching net-zero carbon by 2040 under The Climate Pledge. The project incorporates strategies such as responsible material sourcing, reuse of office assets, and high-efficiency systems that are intended to reduce embodied and operational carbon.

Safety at the center

Safety and wellbeing are central to the design of Amazon’s new campus in Bengaluru. The campus includes enhanced safety systems, widened exit passageways, integrated fire alarm and public address systems, and clearly defined pedestrian pathways, creating an accessible and inclusive workplace.

Amazon established its presence in Bengaluru over 20 years ago, and the city continues to be a critical part of Amazon's India strategy. Teams based here build products, services, and technologies used by customers around the world. This new campus is Amazon's 10th corporate office in Karnataka.

Beyond corporate offices, Amazon operates 7 fulfillment centers, 3 sort centers, over 130 last mile delivery stations, and a robust network of micro-FCs for Amazon Now across Bengaluru. Additionally, over 80,000 sellers from Karnataka are already selling on Amazon India.
