Amazon has been recognised among the top 3 most attractive employer brands in India in the Randstad Employer Brand Research (REBR) 2026, one of the world's largest independent employer branding studies. The recognition is based on public talent perception.
The study identified Amazon's top employer value proposition drivers as good reputation, interesting job content, and state-of-the-art technology. This year's research points to the rise of the "Balanced Employer"—and these drivers reflect that shift. They go beyond compensation. They speak to what talent increasingly values: the credibility of the organisation they join, the problems they get to solve and access to tools that keep their skills relevant. At Amazon, that means building products used by hundreds of millions of customers, powered by some of the most advanced technology infrastructure in the world.

What this means for Amazon in India

Amazon's #3 ranking reflects its continued investment in creating a workplace where employees can innovate, grow and build meaningful careers. An employer brand isn't built through messaging; it's shaped by the experience people have every day. Amazon's recognition reflects a culture where ownership starts on Day One, curiosity is rewarded, and people are supported as whole human beings, as parents, caregivers, learners and builders. When employees thrive in that environment, they don't just build careers; they build extraordinary things for customers. That's what this recognition represents, and what Amazon's teams across India continue to make real.

About the Randstad Employer Brand Research

The Randstad Employer Brand Research is an independent study that captures the preferences of the Indian workforce by evaluating what talent values most in an employer. Now in its 26th year globally and 16th year in India, the study is one of the largest of its kind, evaluating both employer brand awareness and employer attractiveness.
The 2026 edition surveyed more than 170,000 respondents and assessed 6,400 companies across 34 markets globally. In India, the findings are based on responses from nearly 3,500 working-age professionals.

What the research found

The REBR 2026 report highlights several trends shaping employer choice in India:
  • Work-life balance leads employer choice: The study found that work-life balance is the top driver for talent when choosing an employer, followed by equal opportunities, career progression, salary and benefits, and employer reputation. Employees seek a balanced value proposition rather than a single differentiator.
  • Reputation is the defining differentiator: Across the top 10 employer brands in India, a strong reputation consistently emerged as the primary attribute. Technology, leadership and career progression further strengthen employer appeal.
  • The rise of the "Balanced Employer": The study identifies a defining shift in how talent evaluates companies. Employees now assess organisations on the entirety of their value proposition, from meaningful work and career growth to inclusivity, wellbeing, flexibility and competitive rewards, rather than on any single factor.
