Last-minute shopping will be a breeze this festive season—Amazon is extending the option of same day delivery to Prime members in over 50 cities and towns. Thousands of products across categories such as wireless, consumer electronics, books, toys, babycare, media, kitchen, luxury, sports, video games, and personal care equipment, will now be available for free delivery within four hours. Earlier, this facility was available in 14 cities.

We’re always innovating to bring our customers new levels of convenience and delivery options that work best for them; making Same-Day Delivery, within hours the latest example of delivery innovations that give customers more choice, speed, and convenience.

Swifter shopping experience

Customers in cities such as Surat, Mysuru, Mangalore, Bhopal, Nashik, Nellore, Anantapur, Warangal, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Patna, beside several others, will have a swifter shopping experience. Amazon first introduced Same-Day Delivery in India in 2017 and has continued to invest in speed to enable fast, reliable and convenient delivery options for customers. To ensure swift delivery, specialised buildings that fulfill orders are strategically located to cover different parts of the city. These buildings are optimised for faster click-to-delivery speeds and are located at the heart of the cities they serve, decreasing the overall distance the package has to travel to reach the customer.

Grouping deliveries

In 2021, Amazon launched Amazon Day, giving Prime members the option of choosing a day to have all their items grouped and delivered together each week. For easy accessibility and better convenience, customers also have the option if picking up their packages from designated ‘pick up points’.
