Lucknow-based Rupesh Srivastava harboured dreams of becoming his own boss even while working as a professional in the IT industry,

When he was introduced to Amazon’s Delivery Service Partner (DSP) program, he decided to take the entrepreneurial plunge despite having no prior experience in logistics. It turned out to be a life-transforming choice — what began as one delivery station with 5 delivery associates in 2017 has now become a network of 15 delivery stations employing more than 350 delivery associates.

Empowering aspiring entrepreneurs
Amazon’s Delivery Service Partner (DSP) program empowers aspiring entrepreneurs to build their own last-mile delivery business capabilities from the ground up with support infrastructure, technology, and a suite of services. This has enabled many entrepreneurs to create thriving small businesses that deliver for customers.

“When I look back, I can’t believe the success I have achieved as Amazon’s Delivery Service Partner in the last 5 years. What makes this success even sweeter is that I had no prior experience in the logistics sector and I got a chance to do something new,” said Rupesh. “It was all possible because of the tremendous support from Amazon. Their training, sophisticated delivery technology and knowledge in the logistics sector helped my business grow at a rapid pace.”

Raring to grow
Rupesh is keen to expand his business across different geographical locations and aims to positively impact more lives over the next few years. “I want my business to serve as an opportunity for youth to build their career in the logistics sector,” he said.

Enabling job creation
As Amazon scales and expands its delivery network across Uttar Pradesh, it continues to enable individuals to unlock their entrepreneurial potential and create opportunities to expand their horizons through its last-mile-focused DSP program. Currently, more than 350 entrepreneurs are managing close to 1,800 Partner Delivery Stations in over 900 cities and towns across India.

It brings me great pride to see Rupesh and other small and mid-sized business owners across the country growing exponentially and benefiting from Amazon’s Delivery Service Partner program. These new entrepreneurs are not just growing their business, but they also provide additional prospects for hundreds and thousands of associates, and significantly contribute to economic development of the country.

In 2021, Amazon launched the next evolution of the DSP program, enables aspiring entrepreneurs with even little or no delivery experience to launch their own delivery businesses.

Delivering smiles this festive season
As Amazon India gears up for the festive season, Rupesh and his team of delivery associates are eager to deliver smiles to customers and be part of their festivities. “Festive season brings a different energy across the country. While the last two years was different due to the pandemic, this year I’m excited that things are getting back to normal. I see lot of excitement among the delivery associates as the festive season comes closer,” concludes Rupesh.
